As of 5.31 yesterday afternoon, I am officially unemployed. The good points : 1. I am the boss of me. 2. No tie, belts or shoes. 3. I can manage my own time - my most productive hours won't have to be spent in traffic or stuck in meetings. 4. See number 3; no more meetings. 5. I can eat healthier food. The bad points : 1. No steady paycheck. 2. There's a kitten that keeps sitting on my iBook. 3. Lots of distractions (laundry, the fridge, cleaning up the kids' mess). 4. There are no off days, or sick leaves, or public holidays.
