The Engadget Store in Kuala Lumpur
![]() Over the weekend, there was a big hoo-ha at technology superblog Engadget. Apparently there's a (physical) store that uses the Engadget name without permission. It turns out that this store is in my back yard - The MidValley Mega Mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Yesterday I hopped over to see whether it was real. My Treo 650 was at the ready to snap photos. ![]() When I got there at a little over ten in the morning, there were not many shops open. But the now-famous Engadget Store was! The owner wasn't there, and the sole shop assistant wasn't able to provide much details. The shop is typical of small-ish computer shops. It didn't have very many products on display, and it sold mainly iPod and smartphone accessories (cases and the like), and wireless (WiFi) gear. It's real, folks. Engadget |
