My gadgets : My media server is full!

Just a little over two months ago, I bought an external 160GB hard drive to act as my media repository. It's now full to the brim with my document backups, music, and movies. So now the dilemma is - buy another external hard drive or DVD burner? A 160GB drive costs about the same as an internal DVD burner plus the DVDR media equivalent to 160GB (roughly 40 pieces).
